Service Description
This 4-week Beginner Yoga Series teaches the fundamentals of yoga in a safe, strength based and nurturing environment. It will be taught in a sequential manner in order to build understanding of the poses, mindfulness of movement, strength building and flexibility of the mind and body. Upon completion of the series, the student will: - Have a foundational knowledge of yoga and be able to practice safety. - Develop body awareness and learn basic postures found in most yoga classes with focus on healthy alignment. - Learn modification to poses to allow the pose to work for own body without injury. - Understand the importance of breath and learn to coordinate breath and movement. - Become curious and competent in safely exploring own limits. - Increase the possibilities of deeper relaxation, peacefulness and joyfulness. Class meets Thursdays from 7 to 8:30pm for four consecutive weeks. Dates are February 20th through March 13th, 2025.
